Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that the New York Rangers have agreed on a contract with forward Oliver Bjorkstrand. Mollie Walker of the New York Post confirmed that it’s a one-year, $4.5MM contract for Bjorkstrand.

The New York Rangers have added another bottom six winger to the mix, signing winger Oliver Bjorkstrand to a one year contract, with a $4.5 million cap hit. Bjorkstrand wrapped up his age-30 season with Tampa, putting up 12-20-32 in 81 games as a middle six winger. Bjorkstrand has since turned 31 in April, so he will play at least his age-31 year with the Rangers, contract dependent.
